Besides these Vitamin E softgels we expanded our assortment with Vitamin E + Selenium softgels. This is a supplementary feed for horses which are in regular/intensive training. To maintain and support healthy muscle function and to protect cells from oxidative damage.

Vitamin E and Selenium work closely together in the function of the body, one cannot do his job without the other. This is the reason that these two preferably be provided to the horse simultaneously. De amount of vitamin E and selenium are dependent on each other. Cellular integrity with be maintained when selenium is added to a vitamin E-deficient diet and the other way around. Both natural vitamin E (d-alfa-tocoferol) and organic selenium will be absorbed by the body sufficiently.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, neutralizes free radicals and thus protects healthy cells and tissues. The organic selenium, which is easily absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. Supplementing selenium can also support the fertility of breeding mares. Especially recommended in areas with low selenium levels in the ground.

It’s an ideal supplement during the winter months, because of the lack of fresh grass horses can develop an Vitamin E deficiency. During the winter selenium is still provided to the horse through the hay.

The softgels are easy to administer by hand or add it to the feed. NB; Selenium should not be overdosed. Symptoms of Selenium overdose includes hair loss in the mane and tail and horizontal cracks in the hoofs beginning at the heel.
