Are you an experienced relationship builder with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for the veterinary industry? Do you enjoy developing international partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and making a real impact in a fast-growing organisation? Then we'd love to meet you.
As International Key Account Manager at Grovet, you will play a pivotal role in our European growth strategy. You will build long-term partnerships with leading equine veterinary practices, corporate groups, and key opinion leaders across Europe, helping expand our market presence while supporting veterinarians with innovative products and expert advice.

At Grovet, everything revolves around one mission: Value through focus on equine health.
For almost 30 years, we have been dedicated exclusively to supporting equine veterinarians. We provide a carefully selected portfolio of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, instruments, nutritional products, and expert advice, enabling veterinarians to focus on what matters most: delivering the best possible care for horses.
Our ambition is to become Europe's leading platform for equine veterinarians, offering direct access to innovative products, specialist knowledge, and outstanding service. From our headquarters in the Netherlands, we work with colleagues and partners across Europe to achieve this goal.
Your home base will be our headquarters in Soesterberg, the Netherlands, where you will work closely with our international sales teams in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom. You will report directly to the Chief Business Officer.
This role involves regular travel throughout Europe, including overnight stays, to visit customers, attend industry events, and strengthen key partnerships. You will also regularly work from our headquarters for team meetings and strategic planning sessions.
You are commercially driven, proactive, and enjoy working in an international environment. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and thrive on building lasting customer relationships.
You have:
Bachelor's or Master's level working and thinking ability, preferably in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field
Proven experience in field sales or key account management, ideally within the veterinary, pharmaceutical, or animal health industry
Strong affinity with the equine sector
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
A strategic and analytical mindset combined with a proactive attitude
Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German and/or French is considered an advantage
Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Joining Grovet means becoming part of an ambitious international organisation with a clear vision for the future of equine healthcare. You'll enjoy the freedom to make an impact, take ownership of your region, and contribute directly to our continued growth.
We offer:
A full-time international position with significant responsibility and autonomy
A competitive salary based on your experience and qualifications
An attractive performance-based bonus scheme
A company car, laptop, and mobile phone
An excellent pension scheme and travel reimbursement
Plenty of opportunities for personal development and career growth
A collaborative, passionate, and knowledgeable international team with a shared commitment to equine health
As International Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships throughout Europe. You understand how to build trust at every level, identify commercial opportunities, and translate market insights into sustainable growth.
Your responsibilities include:
Building, maintaining, and expanding long-term relationships with international key accounts, corporate veterinary groups, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Developing and executing strategic account plans that support Grovet's commercial objectives across Europe
Identifying new business opportunities and increasing market share
Providing professional and technical product advice to equine veterinarians
Organising customer meetings, training sessions, and educational seminars
Monitoring market developments, customer needs, and competitive activities, and translating these insights into commercial opportunities
Negotiating commercial agreements, pricing, and contracts
Representing Grovet at international veterinary congresses, exhibitions, and industry events
