Gentamicin 40 HEXAL SF is a human medicine: a sterile, clear, colorless injection solution containing 40 mg gentamicin (as gentamicin sulfate) per 1 ml ampoule.
Ingredients
- Active ingredient: gentamicin sulfate (67.8 mg, equivalent to 40 mg gentamicin)
- Excipients: acetylcysteine, water for injections, disodium edetate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment), plus sodium ions (< 23 mg/ml)
Route of administration
Administered by intramuscular injection, slow intravenous injection, or via short infusion (typically over 30–60 minutes).
