Danilon contains suxibuzone, a prodrug of phenylbutazone, and is the only preparation registered in Belgium with this active substance. Danilon is indicated for the supportive treatment of musculoskeletal disorders in horses and ponies, such as laminitis and osteoarthritis. It is a new veterinary medicinal product for equine practitioners in Belgium and a valuable addition to the available NSAID range for horses.
