HP Motility is a complementary dietary feed for horses with chronic insufficiency of the small intestine. This dietary feed meets the nutritional criteria set by European legislation for specific nutritional purposes, meaning it has been specifically developed to support small intestinal disorders. In addition, the composition of HP Motility is scientifically substantiated and supported by an extensive (roughage) feeding recommendation.
HP Motility is suitable for horses with reduced intestinal motility, slow intestinal transit, and impaction colic, often as a result of a poorly functioning small intestine. Damage to the intestinal wall, chronic inflammation, worm infections, stereotypic behavior, or scar tissue after surgery can further reduce intestinal movement. HP Motility supports proper digestion and smooth passage throughout the gastrointestinal tract and is preferably combined with fine and soft roughage. The formulation contains fiber-rich and water-binding ingredients, such as apple pulp, which increase the volume and moisture of the intestinal contents and thereby stimulate intestinal contractions. In addition, highly digestible starch sources, a low starch supply per meal, and live yeast cells contribute to stable fermentation and a healthy gut flora.

Indications d'utilisation
Complementary feed for horses forms a complete ration together with roughage. The feeding advice for HP Motility has therefore been carefully aligned with the roughage and its quality. The feeding schedule (see downloads) indicates the required amounts of HP Motility and roughage based on the horse’s weight and level of activity.
The cause of the complaints and the effect of the dietary ration determine whether these feeding measures are needed for a shorter or longer period. Since it is important to introduce feed changes gradually, in most cases the dietary feed should be given for at least 3 months.
