HP Equimel is a high-quality milk replacer for orphan foals, foals with no or insufficient milk availability or sick foals. HP Equimel is formulated to closely match the natural composition of mare’s milk, ensuring balanced nutrition for healthy foal growth.
HP Equimel is made from low heat-treated dairy ingredients, preserving intact proteins and bioactive compounds like MFGM, for optimal digestibility and health benefits. In addition, HP Equimel is enriched with lactoferrin and long-chain fatty acids to support immunity and healthy growth.
HP Equimel is easy to prepare. The product includes straightforward guidelines for preparation and a practical age-based dosing chart.
Gebrauchsanweisung
Preperation (1 liter HP Equimel):
- Take a bucket with a minimum capacity of 1 L.*
- Fill the bucket with 600 ml of clean warm water (50 - 55 °C).
- Add 110 g (1 scoop) of HP Equimel and stir until all powder is dissolved.
- While stirring, top up with cold water until you reach 1 L to get the ideal drinking temperature
(39 - 42 °C).
* A bottle can be used to prepare 1 L HP Equimel, for higher amounts it is recommended to use a bucket.

Tierärztlicher Hinweis
Check first the recommended dosage for the daily amount of HP Equimel needed for the foal. Please refer to the feeding instructions available under 'Instructions for use".
Divide the daily amount over the indicated feedings.
Feeding instructions: HP Equimel is a high-quality milk replacer for orphan foals, foals that cannot or do not want to drink enough (mare with mastitis, twin gestation, mare with indequate production) or sick foals.
- Check the recommended dosage for the daily amount of HP Equimel needed for the foal. Divide the daily amount over the indicated feedings.
- Prepare the indicated amount of HP Equimel per feeding, as described under the heading preparation.
- Feed fresh hay or grass and concentrate from day 14 onwards. Concentrate intake guideline: Week 3: getting used to. Week 4 - 7: 0,5 kg/d. Week 8 - 11: 0,5 - 1,0 kg/d. Week 12 - 14: 1,0 kg/d. Week 15 - 16: 1,0 - 2,0 kg/d.
- Put the foal in the stable with other horse(s) and offer milk in a bucket as soon as possible.
- Foals eat manure from the mare to develop their intestinal flora. Offer manure from a healthy mare to the foal.
