Ekygard is a nutraceutical in a palatable micro-granulated formulation containing colloidal clay and vegetal extracts. It is specifically recommended during and after treatment of gastric ulcers and digestive problems in the horse.

Indications
Nutritional supplement for use in :
- Racehorses during periods of training
- Horses with a history of sensitive gastric muscosae
- Horses (foals and adults) treated for : gastritis, gastric ulceration, chronic enteritis, mild and recurrent post-prandial colics.

Studies were carried out at Chantilly, France, with improvement highly significant (p<0.05) in all areas of the equine stomach. 90% of all treated horses showed clinical improvement after 3 weeks of treatment.

Instructions for use
Give 45 g (3 measures) twice a day for 25 days. Ekygard can be continued after the end of treatment with prescription medication.

Composition
Bentonite, Calcium Phosphate, aromatic plants: Green aniseed, Marsh Mallow, milky flavoured excipient.
Green aniseed (Pimpinella anisum) contains antispasmodic substances and limits gas production in the digestive tract.
Marsh Mallow (Althaea officinalis) has anti-acid properties on the gastrointestinal mucosa.
Bentonite is a colloidal clay which coats the walls of the digestive tract and produces a protective film on the mucosa.
