Composition
Per dose: 35 mg acepromazine base (as maleate )
Indications
All situations where sedation is required in dogs and cats, especially during examination of restless or aggressive animals, transportation and training.
Dosage and administration
For oral administration only. The dosages can be read on the rod of the in jector. Each line on the rod is a dose. The recommended dose is:
- Light sedation : 1 / 2-1 doses per 35 kg body weight ( = 0.5 - 1.0 mg acepromazine / kg )
- Heavy sedation : 1-2 doses per 35 kg body weight ( = 1.0 - 2.0 mg acepromazine / kg )
This dosage is a guideline and should be adjusted (but not exceed). In case of a extended use these doses should be repeated every 12 hours.
