Myorelax is a 100 mg/ml guaifenesin solution, indicated for the induction of muscle relaxation and immobilisation, as an adjunct to balanced anaesthesia. It is a centrally acting muscle relaxant which gives minimal cardiovascular depression. Myorelax has little to no effect on the diaphragm and the intercostal muscles, meaning there is little to no disturbance of respiration. Myorelax has no analgetic effect and does not affect consciousness.

The horse may lay down already after a third or half of the dosage has been administered. Onset of immobilisation occurs 10 to 25 minutes after administration of the full dose. Recovery is quick and calm. After 25 to 40 minutes the horse should be able to stand again. Do not give in combination with diazepam.
Alternative for: Myolaxin
Ingredients Guaifenesin, dextrose monohydrate, N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone, water for injection, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid.
Instructions for use Infusion should be given at body temperature. Indicated dosage is 60 to 100 mg per kg body weight. This equates to 0.6 to 1 ml per kg body weight.
