Myorelax is a muscle relaxant to be used in combination with balanced anaesthesia. The active ingredient is guaifenesin.
Myorelax
Myorelax is a 100 mg/ml guaifenesin solution, indicated for the induction of muscle relaxation and immobilisation, as an adjunct to balanced anaesthesia. It is a centrally acting muscle relaxant which gives minimal cardiovascular depression. Myorelax has little to no effect on the diaphragm and the intercostal muscles, meaning there is little to no disturbance of respiration. Myorelax has no analgetic effect and does not affect consciousness.
Instructions for use
Infusion should be given at body temperature. Indicated dosage is 60 to 100 mg per kg body weight. This equates to 0.6 to 1 ml per kg body weight.Guaifenesin, dextrose monohydrate, N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone, water for injection, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid.
