Vaginal application of 0.35 g progesterone for sheep.
Each device contains 0.35 g progesterone.
CIDR is indicated for the induction and synchronisation of the estrous cycle in sheep (ewes):
- In non-cyclic ewes during anoestrus
- In cyclic ewes to advance the breeding season
Should be used in combination with eCG.
Dosage: Vaginal application with applicator. 0.35 g progesterone (one device) per animal for 12 days. The device should remain in the vagina for 12 days. Upon removal, the ewe should receive an injection with eCG (equine Chorionic Gonadotrophin). Estrous should commence within 1-2 days after removal.
When used according to instructions, removing the device should induce estrous within 42-58 hours, whereby most animals will attain estrous within 50-54 hours.
