Hibiscrub (Chlorhexidine)
Hibiscrub is used routinely as an antiseptic skin preparation to help prevent the spread of bacteria, yeasts, some fungi and viruses. Also used to disinfect the skin to avoid introducing germs into the body when the skin is cut.
Operation:
Chlorhexidine fights different types of bacteria and some types of fungi. It makes the cell wall of these bacteria, and fungi broken so that they die off.
Use:
In light infected abrasions or cuts you can use chlorhexidine to disinfect the skin. The body cleans itself than the bacteria.
You can also use chlorhexidine to prevent an infection develops.The solution with chlorhexidine is also applied to certain objects which are to be disinfected.
