Paniolo Leg Splint Horse

The Paniolo Leg Splint is designed for horses. The splint provides essential support for bone fractures, tendon and ligament tears and ruptures, and wound management. The splint is made from an inner layer of air dry foam and resin, and an outer hard polyester shell. The air dry foam provides a protective layer around the limb and acts as a barrier between the polyester shell so as to not create further issues with skin abrasions. The foam provides protection around the limb and acts as an intermediate layer to prevent further injuries such as skin abrasions from the hard polyster.

• Re-use of this product is possible with the same horse

• The splint is breathable and washable

There are different sizes for the age six months and above:

• Small - 100 cm x 15 cm 
• Medium (rescue) - 120 cm x 15 cm 
• Medium extra strong (recovery) – 120 cm x 15 cm 
• Large – 140 cm x 15 cm 
• Leg splints for foals are also available

The difference between the medium and medium extra strong is the durability of the inner polyester shell. The extra strong is more suited for horses that need to stand in the splint for a longer period of time. Due to the stronger heel and toe bends, it will not break easiliy when continually being used.
