Serum tubes, without separator

In plastic tubes, silica particles are added as the clot activator. These tubes are labelled with the acronym CAT (clot activator tube).

The recommended minimum clotting time for the serum tubes is 60 minutes.

Centrifugation conditions
≤1300 g for 10 minutes at 18-25°C.
