Vetbuton 100mg/ml inj. 100 ml
Vetbuton stimulates the digestive system and is indicated for use in digestive issues and hepatic insufficiency.
Mechanism of action:
- Increased chemical digestion by increased excretion of pepsin, trypsin and other enzymes.
- Increased mechanical digestion through appetite stimulation.
- Choleretic function: by increasing the secretion of bile and bile salts, the digestion and absorption of fats and other metabolites is improved.
Vetbuton can be administered in case of indigestion, toxemia, ketonemia, hepatic insufficiency, and anorexia.
Slow intravenous administration is recommended.
Instructions for use
Calves, sheep, goats, and pigs: IM or IV
Cows: IV
Horses: Slow IV administration
Calves (up to 6 months of age), sheep, goats, and pigs: 10 mg menbutone per kg bodyweight. This is equivalent to 1 ml Vetbuton per 10 kg bodyweight.
Cows: 5-7.5 mg menbutone per kg bodyweight. This is equivalent to 1 ml Vetbuton per 15-20 kg bodyweight.
Horses: 2.5 – 5 mg menbutone per kg bodyweight. This is equivalent to 1 ml per 20-40 kg bodyweight.
The dosage can be repeated one time, if necessary, after 24 hours.

Veterinary advice
Not to be administered during the last trimester of pregnancy. Vetbuton can be administered during lactation.
