Composition
N-acetylcysteine 0,2 g/ml
Indications
Diseases of the equine respiratory system (acute, chronic, and exacerbation) and in particular the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) .
Dosage and administration
Intravenous injection.
The recommended dosage is 5-10 mg of acetylcysteine / kg bw / day during 5-15 days depending on the clinical evolution of the disease.
50 kg of body weight : 1.2-2.5 ml of Equimucil corresponding to 250-500 mg of acetylcysteine ;
100 kg body weight : 2.5-5.0 ml corresponding to 500-1000 mg of acetylcysteine ;
200 kg of weight : 5.0 to 10.0 ml corresponding to 1.0-2.0 g of acetylcysteine ;
400 kg of weight : 10.0 to 20.0 ml corresponding to 2.0-4.0 g of acetylcysteine ;
500 kg of weight : 12.5 to 25.0 ml corresponding to 2.5-5.0 g of acetylcysteine .
