Active Ingredients:
Oxytetracycline 100mg (as the hydrochloride) per mL.
Indications:
For the treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline in horses, cattle, sheep and pigs. Examples include infections occurring in cases of pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections (endo) metritis, mastitis, urinary tract infections, septicaemia and secondary infections associated with viral diseases.
Dosage:
Engemycin can be administered at one of two dose rates. See leaflet for full details.
SA: For a shorter duration of activity, a dose rate of 3-10mg/kg bodyweight (depending on species and age) i/m or i/v, provides a duration of action of 24 hours following a single injection.
PA: For a prolonged duration of activity, a dose rate of 10-20mg/kg bodyweight (depending on species and age) i/m only, provides a duration of action of 48 hours following a single injection.
